(PHOENIX, Ariz.) — Phoenix International Raceway played host to an exciting weekend for Jimmie Johnson fans. The weekend began with the NASCAR Camping World Series West Jimmie Johnson Foundation 150 where Mike David took the checkered flag and Jarit Johnson, Jimmie’s younger brother, piloted the Jimmie Johnson Foundation Chevrolet to a 14th place finish.

The foundation hosted a special reception at the race for its charity partner programs organizations including American Red Cross, San Diego Habitat for Humanity, Hendrick Marrow Program, Make-A-Wish Foundation of America and Victory Junction Gang Camp, as well as PIR’s charitable partner, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Phoenix. Jimmie and Chandra participated in the pre-race ceremonies with representatives from the partner programs. To cap off the weekend, Jimmie drove his #48 Lowe’s Chevrolet to an exciting 1st place finish in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, his first win of the 2008 season!
