Annual Golf Tournament

The foundation’s signature event is the Jimmie Johnson Foundation Annual Golf Tournament presented by Lowe’s. The tournament is held each fall in Southern California prior to the race at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA.
In its first two years, the event raised more than $1 million. Proceeds from the events have benefited San Diego Habitat for Humanity and have funded the completion of four homes on Foundation Lane in Jimmie’s home town of El Cajon, CA. The event has featured more than 250 guests who come from across the country to attend the celebration. The event begins with a dinner and auction the night before the golf tournament. The live auction has featured items such as a Jeff Gordon fire suit, Jimmie’s race winning helmet, an Auto Club Speedway VIP package, and more.
The 3rd Annual Golf Tournament raised more than $500,000 and the funds will be distributed to K-12 educational programs in the San Diego area through a competitive grant process in partnership with Lowe's Toolbox for Education. Our goal is to provide children with the tools they need to succeed in school.
